Study-Genie is a digital education platform that allows users to upload learning materials and generate study sheets, quizzes, flashcards, and AI-assisted educational outputs.
The Service is offered as a website available at study-genie.ai and as a mobile application distributed on the Apple App Store. This notice, the privacy policy, and the terms apply to both channels alike, except where a provision expressly refers to one of them.
The Study-Genie mobile application is published by ABM Labs FZ-LLC. Apple Inc. is neither the publisher nor the provider of the Service: its role is limited to distributing the application and, where applicable, processing in-app purchases.
Study-Genie is hosted by Vercel, Inc.
Operating the Service relies on third-party technical providers, including infrastructure, database, authentication, payments, email delivery, notifications, technical monitoring, and AI processing providers. These providers are listed in the privacy policy.
Some mandatory local-law disclosures may vary depending on the country in which the Service is offered or targeted. Additional disclosures may be added or updated as required by applicable law.
This Privacy Policy explains how Study-Genie collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the Service, on the website and in the mobile app.

Your data may be processed, strictly as necessary, by trusted providers involved in operating Study-Genie:
We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for any advertising purpose.
Documents, photos, conversations, quizzes, study sheets, flashcards, notebooks, and other related generated content are kept in your user workspace so that the Service can be provided and your content remains accessible.
Content you submit is processed solely to perform the features you request within Study-Genie.
We do not use your content for advertising purposes, and our AI providers do not reuse it to train their models, in line with the terms applicable to their business interfaces.
Study-Genie does, however, build an internal educational profile from your activity (subjects studied, concepts reviewed, quiz results) for the sole purpose of personalising the content and revisions offered to you. This profile is not shared, not used for advertising, and not sold to third parties.
Content submitted to the Service is automatically screened in order to rule out manifestly unlawful, dangerous, or non-compliant uses.
This screening may lead, automatically, to a generation being refused, to a warning, to a temporary restriction, and ultimately to a permanent restriction of access in the event of repeated breaches.
You may contest an automated decision and request human review by writing to: alex@study-genie.ai We will explain the reason for the decision and have it reviewed by a natural person.
The data controller is established in the United Arab Emirates and some of our providers operate from the United States or other third countries. Your data may therefore be processed outside your country of residence, including outside the European Economic Area.
Where the GDPR applies, these transfers are governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses entered into with the relevant providers, supplemented where appropriate by additional technical measures such as encryption in transit and at rest.

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service and to comply with our legal obligations.
As a general rule:
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, misuse, or disclosure, including encryption in transit, isolation of user workspaces, and limits on concurrent sessions.
The Service is intended for people aged 12 or over. Accounts belonging to people under 12 are not permitted and are deleted when identified.
Where applicable law sets a higher minimum age for consenting to data processing without parental involvement (for example 15 in France, 16 in Germany), use of the Service by a minor below that age requires the authorisation and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

The Service is not directed at children and is not designed for the App Store Kids Category.
Depending on the law applicable to you, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your personal data, as well as the right to withdraw consent previously given.
You can delete your account and all of your content at any time, directly from the Account page on the website or the Account screen in the mobile app. This deletion is immediate and irreversible.

If you reside in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical, or product developments. The most recent version is always published on this page, together with its update date. In the event of a material change, we will inform you by email or within the Service before it takes effect.
These Terms of Use and Sale govern access to and use of Study-Genie, including the website, the mobile application distributed on the App Store, the user workspace, the AI-assisted educational features, the paid plans, and related services. They constitute the end user licence agreement (EULA) applicable to the mobile application.
By creating an account, downloading the app, accessing the Service, subscribing to a plan, or using Study-Genie, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms.
These Terms are concluded between you and ABM Labs FZ-LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. They apply to the website and to the mobile app; where a provision specifically concerns purchases made through the App Store, it is identified as such.
If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Service.
The Service is available only to users aged 12 or over. If you are a minor, you must use Study-Genie with the consent and supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or authorised adult, and that parent or legal guardian accepts these Terms on your behalf.
You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating your account, including your date of birth, which is used to verify the minimum age. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out through your account.
You must notify us without delay of any unauthorised access to or security incident affecting your account.
Study-Genie provides digital study tools, including the generation of study sheets, quizzes, flashcards, notebooks, and AI-assisted educational conversations from documents, photos, or other content submitted by the user.
You are interacting with an artificial intelligence system, not with a human teacher. Study sheets, quizzes, flashcards, and chat responses are generated automatically.
AI processing is carried out using OpenAI's models, to which the necessary content is sent solely to perform the feature you requested. The specific models may change for reasons of quality, cost, or availability, without altering the nature of the Service or the commitments set out in this article.
AI-generated content is provided as a learning aid only. It may contain errors, approximations, or omissions and must be verified by the user before any academic, professional, or decision-making use.
The Service does not constitute medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice, and replaces neither a qualified professional nor an educational institution.
You remain the owner of the content you upload or submit, including documents, photos, prompts, texts, and related material.
You grant Study-Genie a limited, non-exclusive licence, strictly necessary to host, store, process, analyse, and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service. This licence ends when the content or the account is deleted.
You warrant that you hold the rights necessary for the content you submit.

Study-Genie offers a free plan and paid plans (Premium and Ultimate).
Use of AI-assisted features is measured in credits: each study sheet, quiz, or flashcard generation, each chat message, and each text recognition consumes a number of credits that varies by operation. Credits can be used freely across eligible features.
Paid plans provide an allowance of credits calculated over a rolling seven-day window: the allowance rebuilds progressively as past usage falls out of that window. An additional limit applies over a window of a few hours, so that exceptionally intense use does not exhaust the allowance all at once. Credits are not cumulative and do not roll over.
Fair-use caps also apply per feature (study sheets and quizzes, AI tutor messages, flashcards, text recognition), assessed over the billing cycle.
The free plan provides a reduced monthly volume of generations, messages, and text recognition. The volumes applicable to each plan are shown in the interface and on the pricing page before any purchase.
These limits may be adjusted to reflect changes in technical costs. Any significant reduction in the volumes included in a paid plan will be notified to you before it takes effect and will not apply to the period already paid for.
Some plans or features may remain subject to fair-use, abuse-prevention, or technical-protection mechanisms.
Prices, included volumes, cycle length, and plan characteristics are displayed before purchase.
On the web, payments are processed by Stripe. Study-Genie does not store full payment card details. Prices shown on the website are in euros, inclusive of tax.
On iOS, subscriptions are sold through Apple in-app purchases. The price that actually applies is the one shown by the App Store in your country and currency at the time of purchase: it may differ from the price shown on the website because of local taxes and Apple's price tiers. Billing, receipts, and purchase history are then managed through your App Store account.
In the event of a failed or cancelled payment, we may suspend access to paid features until the situation is resolved.
We may change our prices. Any price change affecting an existing subscription will be notified to you in advance; for subscriptions purchased on iOS, the change will additionally follow Apple's consent procedure. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual cycle, indicated before purchase. Unless cancelled, they renew automatically at the end of each cycle, for the same duration and at the price then in force.
Subscriptions purchased on the web: you may turn off renewal at any time from your account area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current cycle; no notice period is required.
Subscriptions purchased on iOS: your App Store account is charged on purchase confirmation, then within 24 hours before each renewal. Cancellation is made exclusively from the subscription settings of your App Store account, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
In both cases, your account and access remain active until the end of the cycle already paid for, and the credits allocated for the current period remain available until it ends, subject to the limits applicable to the relevant plan. Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account: account deletion is performed separately from the Account area.
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you are in principle entitled to a fourteen-day period in which to withdraw from a purchase of digital content.
By subscribing to a plan and requesting immediate access to the Service, you expressly request that performance begin before that period expires and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully performed, under the conditions set out in applicable law. As long as you have not consumed any paid credit for the relevant period, we will accept your withdrawal request and refund you in full.
Purchases made on iOS: refunds are handled exclusively by Apple, under its own terms. You can request one from the report-a-problem page of your App Store account. Study-Genie has no technical ability to refund an in-app purchase.

The following provisions apply when you use the mobile application obtained from the App Store. In the event of a conflict, Apple's App Store terms of service prevail over these Terms as regards distribution and in-app purchases.
Study-Genie uses only cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the operation, authentication, account security, session persistence, and session-rule enforcement of the Service, including concurrent session limits. Details are set out in the Cookies section of this page.
Study-Genie does not use advertising cookies and does not use uploaded content for advertising purposes. Non-essential cookies may only be added later with appropriate notice and, where required, valid consent.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available, without guaranteeing continuous availability, complete absence of errors, or absence of data loss.
The Service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, updates, technical changes, or security reasons.
User support is provided by ABM Labs FZ-LLC at the contact address given on this page. Apple provides no support for the application.
The Service, including its software, interfaces, brand elements, structure, databases, and original platform content, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subject to the limited rights necessary to use the Service, no ownership rights are transferred to the user.
We may suspend or restrict access to all or part of the Service in the event of a serious breach, abuse, repeated payment failures, a legal obligation, or a security risk. Except in an emergency or where required by law, such a measure is preceded by a warning, and you may request a review at the contact address.
Certain data may be retained after suspension or closure where necessary to comply with the law, prevent fraud, handle disputes, or maintain security.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Study-Genie shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, intangible, or commercial damages, or for damages relating to data loss, arising from use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where applicable law prohibits it, in particular towards consumers.
The user remains responsible for verifying AI-generated content and for the use they make of it.
We may amend these Terms to reflect legal, technical, or product developments. The version in force is published on this page together with its update date.
In the event of a material change, you will be informed by email or within the Service at least thirty days before it takes effect. If you do not accept the new version, you may cancel your subscription before that date.
These Terms are governed by the law determined under the applicable conflict-of-laws rules, subject to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the user's country of residence, the benefit of which the user retains.

Consumers residing in the European Union may also use the out-of-court dispute resolution mechanisms provided by their national law.
